Saffy Bed Layout

Good morning :)
I have another UK Scrappers challenge layout to share today :)
There are lots of fab challenges on UK Scrappers you need to be a member to post your layouts but you can see the challenges if you are not a member.

My layout was completed for the Scrap Like You Mean It Reboot (SLYMI) week 1 challenge. The challenge was to use your favourite colour. Normally my favourite colour is lilac or purple but I don't scrap with purple much. My favourite scrapping colour is Teal. I like Teal with grey, black, purple everything lol!

The photo is of DS2 taking a nap on our sweet dog Saffy who passed away last year.
All the papers are from my stash of scraps.

I kept the embellishments simple a few enamel dots, some cotton thread and wood veneer hearts.

The focal embellishment is at the bottom right of the photo. A chipboard circle I've had for years, a wood veneer word and heart.

The title uses My Minds Eye Necessities alpha stickers. These are my go to for titles at the moment.
so what's your favourite colour? Do you have a favourite scrapping colour?
I'll be back this weekend with some sneek peeks of the March Page kit it's very bright and cheery!
Thanks for stopping by :)

Godparents Layout

Good morning :)
Today I have a challenge layout to share.
The challenge was the UK Scrappers February week 3 challenge : use one photo, use one colour from the photo and use a one word title.

I chose a photo from my youngest sons Thanksgiving service a few years ago.
The photo had a lot of blue in it so using blues was an obvious colour choice .

The background was created using a Crafters Workshop stencil and Weathered Wood Distress ink pad.
The papers are a mix from my stash.

I kept the embellishments simple a layered flower, some cotton thread, sequins and some lovely blue garden wire I was received from a lady at the C4E crop.

The title stickers are My Minds Eye Metallic Necessities.

I like using just one colour for layouts, do you like scrapping in a single colour?

There are lots of great challenges to join in with at UK Scrapper hop over Here to check them out.
Thanks for stopping by have a lovely day :)

UKS Challenge layout

Good Morning :)
Yesterday I completed a layout for the UK Scrappers Monthly House challenge.
The challenge was to use this fabulous sketch by Miniowner

As usual I left it to the last minute to get the challenge completed, The sketch has been floating around my craft room for over a week lol!

And this is what I came up with....DIZZY.
The photos are of Alix from a couple of years ago playing in a park.
Whilst waiting for the Glossy accents on the title to dry, I added some extra stitching around the page using some embroidery thread.

The journaling was written on to the reverse side of the gorgeous glittered spotty paper (My Minds Eye Forever Dotted)
As an after thought I decided to ink the edges of the pattern paper...managed to get it on the cardstock too!
Probably would be a good idea to ink the edges before sticking it down lol!
Leave me a comment if you can see the inky mess ;)
The papers I've used are :
My Minds Eye Woven Stripe
My Minds Eye Argyle Paper
My Minds Eye Herringbone Paper

The Alphas are Dream Street

Busy day ahead getting ready for this weekends crop
There are still places available if you would like to join us for a day packed with new techniques, gossip and cake!
Thanks for stopping by
Have a great day
Michele :)
