Mixed Media Christmas card #2

Hello :)
As promised I am back with the second Finnabair inspired Mixed Media Christmas card for this weeks Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge.

For the second card I used a selection of buttons, beads, lace, staples, plaster board tape, glass gems and metal chain.

As before everything was adhered to a piece of cardstock then covered with White Gesso before adding the colour.

The colours for this card were Dylusions Cut Grass and Black and gold Maya Gold paint.

For this card I used only ultra fine gold glitter and Inca Gold to finish it off.

Some of the paint peeled off the glass pieces which gives it a worn vintage feel.

I really enjoyed making these cards, next on the list is a layout using this technique!
Have a great day thanks for stopping by :)

Mixed Media Christmas card #1

Hello :)
I am back today with one of my DT cards for this weeks Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge

Inspired by Finnabair I made 4 cards playing with beads, buttons, paint, ink and glitter.

I first added some torn book paper, buttons, beads, gems and a bottle cap to a piece of cardstock.
I then covered the whole piece with Gesso.

I really wanted to keep the white space on the card so instead of spraying the ink I used a paint brush to add it where I wanted it. This gave me much more control.
I used Maya Gold in Gold and  Dylusions Post box red and black.

When it was dry I added a mix of ultra fine glitter and some chunky gold glitter.

To finish I added a little Inca Gold in gold with a sponge over some of the raised areas.

I'll be back soon with my second card using this technique soon :)
Thanks for stopping by have a great weekend!

Furry Friends

Good morning :)
I have a quick DT card to share today. The card is for this weeks C4E Recipe challenge, all the details can be found HERE along with fabulous DT inspiration and entry.

My Furry Friend is a cute Polar Bear who has been in my stamp collection forever!
He doesn't need much colouring just a little shade and some Twinkling H2O's to give him a sparkle.

The background was made using Washi tape, cotton thread, ink splatters and a few sequins.

That's all from me today, thanks for stopping by :)
I hope you will share your favourite furry friends with us this week!
Have a great day!

Milk Carton Gift boxes

Hello Everyone :)
With Christmas fast approaching I've been looking for some different ways to package gifts.
Each year my family buy a 'table gift'. It's a little gift given after dinner, usually something funny and never expensive!
One year I made 'sock cupcakes'

This year I 'm thinking of these........

Milk Carton Gift boxes!

I'm not sure what will go in them yet LOL! but I do love their simple cuteness :)

These milk carton gift boxes were made at the Craft 4 Eternity September crop using Bazzill Kraft Cardstock and Memories Blossoms paper.

Have fun!
Michele :)
