October Mojo Sketch

Good Morning :)

I am back today with with this month's Mojo Sketch inspiration.

This months sketch features a standard 4 x 6" photo and pennant flags.

And this is my sketch inspired layout :)

I have used the True Friends Page kit available HERE which includes papers from My Minds Eye, chipboard arrows and Days of the week labels.

I wanted to convey the fact this group of friends are friends everyday so they days of the week labels were perfect :)

The chipboard arrows were coloured with Versamagic ink pads which were a perfect match to the gorgeous papers.

The title was die cut from blue Bazzil cardstock, the dies are from Die-Versions. 

The photo was taken at the UK Scrappers Green Buttons Retreat 2 years ago, this was the first time I'd met these lovely ladies after being online  friends for a few years. It was a wonderful weekend and I have since been back twice more!

June Mojo Sketch

Hello :)

This months mojo sketch is simply sweet, the clean lines could be messed up with paint and stamping if that's your style or keep the sketch as it is for a quick and effective layout.

So here is the June sketch :)

Lots of clean white space or fill it up with your favourite patterns and techniques, whatever suits your style of scrapbooking.

I used the sketch to make the inspiration layout for the Simone Page kit.

The kit includes 3 gorgeous Bo Bunny Primrose papers along with some matching Primrose embellishments.

The central photo cluster is the focus of the layout.

Simple and elegant embellishments teamed with the clean cut pattern papers emphasize the lovely portrait photo.

The edge section made use of the pretty border along the edge of the Joy paper.

The Bliss paper is just a mass of gorgeous butterflies crying out for some fussy cutting!

A single rose die cut from the Primrose collection is tucked under the bottom right corner of the photo.

With added Stickles this twinkles prettily.

The flat back gems and even more twinkle. These I added individually creating my own pattern as I went along.

The final element is the cluster of pennant flags at the bottom right of the layout adding just enough balance and drawing the eye to the central photo cluster.

Just love that vintage style brad!

So an elegant, clean layout completed :)

Next challenge is to use the sketch for a mixed media style layout!

October Mojo Sketch

Hello everyone :)

I have this months mojo sketch for you today.

 

Lots going on in this sketch!

The photos are approx 3 x 4" all portrait but the sketch could easily be adapted to suit your photos.

The layout which inspired this sketch is SILLY FACES

This is my youngest son Alix, he loves to pull faces lol!

I've used felt & foam cogs and number tags I created for the Silly Faces Kit which is available HERE

August Mojo Sketch

Hello everyone :)

Sorry to be a little late with this month's Mojo Sketch It's been quite hectic with moving DS1 into his own bedroom, but that's all done now Yay!

Here's this months sketch for you...

 Again quite a simple sketch but lots of possibilities for gorgeous embellishments.

The sketch is based on this layout, Smile

 I've used a gorgeous Diecut paper from My Minds Eye which is still available HERE. 

The flowers are from Prima as are the lovely gem flourishes.

I've stitched around the edge of the circle with some embroidery thread which you can just about see :)

July Mojo Sketch

Hello everyone :)

I hope you are enjoying your weekend :)

I have this months Mojo sketch for you this morning.

 

 A nice simple sketch this month which can be used for super speedy layouts or add some extra layers for added interest.

I've added a few extra layers to my layout using Bazzill cardstock and a Martha Stewart border punch.

The layout is of my DS2 Alix who had the opportunity to hold an Olympic Torch.

I've split the title in to two layering the first part on a rosette and then cutting the second part into bunting.

 

The layout came together really quick using the sketch as a starting point.

April Mojo Sketch

 Hello everyone :)

I hope you are enjoying the Easter weekend so far.

I have this months Mojo sketch for you today.

 I love shaped layouts!

The layout that inspired the sketch is called 

Hello Nana

It's hard to see but there is machine stitching around the edge of the pattern paper circle and I've stamped around the edge too. The layout was spritz with Perfect Pearls Mists too!

The photo opens to reveal a space for the journaling and a second photo.

February Mojo sketch

Hello everyone :)

I hope you all had a good January with lots of crafting!

...and here's my layout, Tall Enough

I had some fun with Alcohol inks on washers, love the random effects you get. The Glossy accents finished gave them a lovely enamelled look.

January Mojo Sketch

Sorry to be so late with this months Mojo sketch, this month just seems to be whizzing by!!

I wanted a sketch with lots of opportunity to use border punches and dies.

I haven't gone overboard with the embellishments but you certainly could add lots more than I have.

December Mojo Sketch

 Hello everyone :)

How are the Christmas projects going? 

I've Finally managed to get some cards made! Still a few to go, some Calendars and other bits and bobs if there is time, but the bulk of the cards are done.

If you are super organised and have some spare time this month try the December Mojo sketch for your next layout.

 It's a simple sketch with lots of space for embellishments or keep it nice and simple with just a few choice pieces. 

I used the sketch for this layout "Xmas Hugs" The green paper is pleated and stitched before adhering to the layout. There is machine stitching around the panels and accents of glitter. 

The papers are My Minds Eye, sadly now very low stock they were gorgeous to work with!

November Mojo Sketch

Hello everyone :)

I can't believe it's November already! This year has just  flown by :)
It's a busy time here in the C4E Kitchen Preperations are underway for some gorgous new Christmas page kits using Graphic 45 Christmas Emporium and My Minds Eye Lost and Found Christmas.
This months crop is next Sunday at Banwell village hall ,click the link above for details. There are still places available if you would like to join us for some Christmas crafting. We will be scrapping with Graphics 45 and making Christmas decorations using diecuts.

I have chosen an one of my favourite sketchs for this months Mojo sketch.

This is a great sketch for 12 x 12" and 8.5 x 11" layouts, there is plenty of room for titles, embellishments and journaling.

I used the sketch to create this layout Magic Dust.
There are a few Magic Dust Kits left with instruction to complete the layout HERE

Magic Dust documents our family tradition of sprinkling Magic Reindeer dust along our front path. We do this so that the reindeer will smell the oats, see the sparkles and lead Santa to the house lol!

The boys love to do this as well as leaving milk and biscuits for Santa.
